Description: [https://www.flickr.com/photos/gawler_history/albums/72157640895582544 Click here for photos] for photos and items relating to Robert Crossing. === Properties === * On 22 Aug 1876 Robert Crossing, of Bertha near Willaston, lime burner, purchased part Lot 22, Willaston from Caleb Miller of Willaston, labourer.<ref name=":0">Certificate of Title 132/208</ref> Between 1884 and 1892 he sold it off as three separate allotments<ref name=":0" /> (this is a residential area, not the site of the limes kilns - the contemporary location of this site is 5 & 7 Redbanks Road and 5, 5a & 7 Drury Street - a heritage cottage remains at 5 Redbanks Road). * In May 1895 Robert Crossing sold the land upon which his lime kilns were situated, "together with four lime kilns and all other improvements thereon" to Elizabeth Lenert, wife of Charles Lenert, lime burner (see transcript of [https://www.flickr.com/photos/gawler_history/7168734222 Memorial for Conveyance of Land]).
