Description: https://vwma.org.au/explore/people/580520Erhard (sometimes spelled 'Ehrhard') was known locally as 'Sunny'. Erhard is buried at Willaston Cemetery. Fred Brooks has kindly provided the following recollections to his daughter Maxine, who has kindly forwarded it to us...."Sonny Kreig - his parents had the bakery at Willaston at the cemetery end and he worked in the bakery for a long long time. It was in a house near the turn off to the Willaston cemetery on the right hand side. Dad thinks Sonny was involved mainly with delivery. They used to deliver to Roseworthy and Smithfield 'and those places'. They delivered with a horse and 'cabin' at the back. (The butcher had one as well. They used to put the tailboard down and the scales went on there.) Dad said that particular bakehouse didn't even have a concrete floor - it was dirt. Rix's bakery where dad worked for a few years had jarrah floors. He did time in the 122nd Transport Unit driving trucks through the NT during WW2."
