Henry Baker enlisted in the AIF 12 Aug 1915 in Adelaide. His Serial No. 8567. Henry was with the 6th Field Unit as a Wheeler Sergeant. He was educated at Gawler Public School and Gawler South Grammar School, and before enlisted worked as a fitter.
Henry was killed in action in Belgium. He is buried at Ypres (Ieper), Arrondissement Ieper, West Flanders (West-Vlaanderen), 'The Huts Cemetery' Belgium, 14 B 6.
Henry Baker is also memorialised at the: Adelaide National War Memorial, Australian War Memorial, Roll of Honour.
