Clifford Lewis Lucas, known as Cliff, was born in 1918 at Nurse Green's Nursing Home on King Street, son of Frank and Alvena Lucas. He grew up on his family's farm on Parker's Road, outside Willaston. He and his siblings Eric, Reg, Les and Elsie attended the Loos School (Buchsfelde), a three mile walk from their farm.
Cliff married Gwenda Folland on the 25th April 1939.
In his later years he resided at Southern Cross Gawler Home, he passed away on 8th April 2009, and is buried at Willaston Cemetery with his wife Gwenda.
