Known as Daniel, Wilhelm Daniel Noack, was born at St Kitts, South Australia on 8 February 1881, son of August Noack and Anna Maria nee Gutsche, and brother of Emmanuel Johannes Noack. He married his first wife, Auguste Matilde Rudolph, 1913 in the state of Victoria. There was a daughter Lydia Marie Noack born at Eudunda in 1914.

On 13 September 1918, Daniel purchased the Gilbert & Co. Chaff Mill and large adjoining residence, gardens and orangery from William Gilbert PAYNE (being allotments 6 & 7 laid out as Evanston in the Hundred of Munno Para, section 3246).[1] (The contemporary address of the residence is 44 Barnet Road, Evanston.)

Daniel's wife Auguste died at their new Evanston residence the following year, on 29 November 1919 and the burial took place at the Willaston Cemetery. He remarried to Martha Rosalie Deckert in Victoria on the 24 November 1921 and returned to reside at Evanston and run his business. The couple had 3 children, a son Phillip Theodore Noack, born in 1923 and two younger children who died in infancy and are buried at the Willaston Cemetery.

August Noack, Daniel's father was staying at his son's Evanston residence when died in 1928, he was buried at Willaston Cemetry. His widow Anna Maria, came to live with her son Daniel's family and remained there until her death in 1940.[2]

Daniel served as a Councillor for Evanston Ward from 1935 to 1939.

On his death, 6 October 1963 at Gawler his obituary was recorded in the Bunyip Newspaper and reads thus:

Mr W D Noack, a former Justice of the Peace and Gawler town councillor, died in his home at Evanston last Sunday morning, at the age of 82. Mr Noack was held in high regard by his friends and, also took an active interest in community work, serving as a councillor on the high school council and was also a member of the Lutheran Church. Following a service in the Zion Lutheran Church on Monday afternoon, he was buried at Willaston Cemetery, Pastor G O Minge officiating. Born at St Kitt's, Mr Noack lived in the Eudunda district until August 1918. He then moved to Gawler, having purchased the chaff mill on Barnet Road from Mr William G Payne. He operated this mill for the next 40 years until his retirement five years ago.[3]

Mr Wilhelm Daniel Noack was survived by his wife, Martha, daughter Lydia and a son, Philip Theodore Noack.
