Pam and Ken Edwards and their five children came to the district in 1976, so that Ken could take up a position at Roseworthy Agricultural College. They initially rented a transportable at Queen Street Willaston, before purchasing their home at 8 Daly Street in May 1976.

Click here to see photos of Pam and Ken Edwards. Photos indicate their involvement with the Australian Refugee Association in Gawler, APEX and Meals on Wheels Gawler Branch (for which Ken has been Chair and Secretary, and compiled a history of the first 50 years).

Pam addressed the Gawler History Team on "The History of Women in Gawler", in July 2017 - follow the link below to view her presentation.

Ken has researched the history of numerous properties, including their own home at 8 Daly Street (click here to read a document about it), and has provided detailed instructions on how to research the history of a piece of land in South Australia - click here to see the document (thanks to Ken for his great tips).
