Senator the Hon David Fawcett is the Chair of Environment and Communications Legislation Committee, Chair of Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade and Deputy Chair of Environment and Communications References Committee.

Senator the Hon David Fawcett was elected to the House of Representatives for Wakefield, South Australia in 2004 but was defeated at the general elections in 2007. He was elected to the Senate for South Australia in 2010 and re-elected 2016 and 2019.
