Colin was a pharmacist in Gawler and, in later years, was in partnership with John Duncan. Their chemist shop was adjacent to the arcade on the eastern side at 143 Murray Street.

He was co-proprietor along with partner John Duncan, who established Scholz Chemicals P/L located at 16 - 18 Main Street, Willaston; c1974

Colin was President of the Gawler Apex Club in 1967/8.

He lived with his wife Daphne on Calton Road south side, 4 houses down from Cheek Avenue.
